WE ARE HERE: Crip Coffee Morning

WE ARE HERE: Crip Coffee Morning at CAMP- Save the date 📅

Want to meet and make fellow disabled friends? Great!

We’re helping host a relaxed, calm and friendly gathering on Saturday 2nd August 10:30-12pm at Camp Margate, CT9 2QY.

We’ll be bringing along some filter coffee (both caffeinated and decaf) as well as making tea/water for any non-coffee drinkers. The bar won’t be open for the event. All drinks are FREE.

Essential companions and allies are welcome; and whilst this is not a queer focused event we are trans-inclusive and as we are using an LGBTQIA+ space we ask that everyone attending is respectful of those in the community.

The wonderful Nell (they/them) from Margate Pride will be running a collage / zine table for anyone wanting an activity and have something to take home. You’re welcome to come for as long or as little as you like. You can speak to folk or just hang out. Nothing will be asked of you, you’re welcome to do whatever makes you feel most comfortable/joyful.

Camp is wheelchair accessible, has a wheelchair accessible loo, has various seating options (with backs and arm rests), aircon (if it’s hot) and music will be kept to a minimum in the background. Camp has lots more access info on their website too if needed.

Paid street parking is available outside, is a 30 minute walk from Margate Station, has buses 8X, 8A, 960 and the Loop stop outside.

You are not obliged to disclose your disability and we ask folks not to ask without consent/kindness.

Please do reach out if you have any questions.

Can’t wait.

Happy Disability Pride Month 🩷
