How to Navigate the Queer News (and use it to fight back)

How to navigate the queer news (and use it to fight back)

Join us in person for a live recording on the award-winning QueerAF podcast where we'll give you practical tools, insights and takeaways on how you can make the news more accessible, and use it (not switch off from it) to fight back.

News overwhelm is a big issue, making more and more of us switch it off. This is at a time when we need to be even more keyed into what's happening - so we know how to fight back against it.

In this session, QueerAF founder Jamie Wareham sits down for a fireside conversation with Ludovic Parsons (QueerAF's lead investigative journalist) and Ruby Rare (Author, broadcaster) to talk about how we can use the news as well as everything else you need to know to use in the Pride season ahead to advocate for better for our LGBTQIA+ community.

After the discussion, we'll open up to questions, so come curious!

The event is being run in collaboration with Margate Pride with support from the Public Interest News Foundation to mark Indie News Week. All ticket sales will be split 50/50 between Margate Pride and QueerAF.
