DIY Strap On Making Workshop led by Dee (they/them) from The Big Strap Project
Max number of participants: 10
Timings: 1.30pm- 5pm/5.30pm on Sunday 3rd August
The Big Strap Project is run by Dee (they/them) a queer, gender fluid artist. The project was initially created through an Impractical Strap On Making Party they hosted for themselves! Having worked as a Costume Prop Maker and Textile Artist in theatre, making harnesses, belts, bags, hats etc. they wanted to share these skills and empower folks to create their own custom strap-ons that reflect our individual styles. We are so unique and we deserve straps that fit us and feel euphoric to wear!
Repurposing second-hand bags and belts into custom straps, Dee will teach you how to cut out, rivet press and fashion your dream harness... either choose from my collection of bags, buckles and belts or bring along an old clutch or bum bag that needs a cheeky new purpose. We’ll start with a demo on the techniques used and you’ll each have a basic pattern to either follow or take inspo from. Make do and make sexy!
